Sustainability education tailored to farm veterinarians and paraprofessionals

As we head into 2026, many veterinarians and paraprofessionals may be looking to fill their CPD calendars.  VetSalus has teamed up with a selection of organisations to provide industry-leading sustainability education, tailored to the needs of veterinary professionals across the world. We have our two flagship e-learning courses and can also provide exclusive online cohorts or in-person training at your chosen venue.

A Veterinary Approach to Sustainable Food and Farming, (delivered in partnership with Vet Sustain) allows participants to gain the knowledge and confidence to support sustainable changes on farm. This is a self-paced, 10 module, online learning course, equivalent to 35 hours of CPD. Registration for this course is currently closed, but our next cohort will begin on 8th May 2026 - please see the website for further details: https://learn.vetsalus.com/pages/a-veterinary-approach-to-sustainable-food-and-farming

Vicki Shepherd, veterinarian and independent cattle fertility consultant, recently completed the course. She said of her experience:

I really enjoyed this course - it was very insightful and well thought-through. I particularly enjoyed the natural flow between clinical/informative data about climate change, leading into psychological processes and how we can impact change ourselves as vets. I particularly enjoyed the deep dives, and the chapters on how clinical livestock health truly impacts GHG emissions. I had never made the connection between medical care and the environment, and it really opened my eyes to the very practical involvements that vets can potentially have in this area.
