With a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Ghent (1985), Jos Van Eecke brings more than three decades of hands‑on expertise in dairy and beef production systems. He began his career by founding his own veterinary practice in the Flemish Ardennes, where his strong focus on cattle and continuous professional development quickly led to the growth of a four‑veterinarian team serving both dairy and beef farms.
In 2003, Jos expanded his work internationally, advising dairy operations across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. To complement his veterinary background with broader industry insight, he became actively involved in several agribusiness sectors, including milking equipment distribution, hygiene and disinfection solutions, and nutritional supplement manufacturing. He also collaborates with leading genetics suppliers.
This unique combination of veterinary expertise, technical knowledge, and practical farm management experience has given Jos a deep, holistic understanding of how modern cattle operations function.
His broad skill set led to international appointments as a Greenfield Manager, guiding the development and start‑up of large‑scale dairy farms in Africa, the Middle East, and the Far East. Today, Jos is recognized for his ability to integrate animal health, management, technology, and operational strategy into sustainable, high‑performance dairy systems.
