Meet Our Experts - Dave Fehrmann

Dave Fehrmann is part of our network of experts, read on to hear more about his work.

Dave Fehrmann is a cattle veterinarian whose daily work focuses mainly on preventive care. His expertise spans nutrition, udder health, coughing calves, and the responsible use of antibiotics, though he continues to treat individual sick cows when needed. He particularly enjoys consulting with dairy farmers and their feed advisors, and he readily involves colleagues or other specialists in discussions. Diagnostics play a central role in his approach whenever possible.

After his degree in animal sciences at Wageningen University he completed his veterinary degree at Utrecht University. He began his career as a general veterinarian, later specialising in ruminants with a small amount of equine work. Since 2014, he has been co‑owner of a veterinary practice in the north of the Netherlands, where he focuses on preventive veterinary medicine and fertility. He is a member of the infectious diseases expert panel and holds several additional classifications from Dutch dairy organisations.
