Meet our Experts - Rose Jackson

Rose Jackson is a veterinary consultant who focuses on genetics, fertility, and sustainability. She works at Kite Consulting, where she collaborates with the entire dairy supply chain, from farmers to milk processors. Rose project manages and delivers change management programs to dairy farmers, primarily focusing on sustainability.

With 20 years of experience working with farmers, Rose was formerly a farm vet in clinical practice in Derbyshire. She serves as a board member of the BCVA (British Cattle Veterinary Association), which helps her stay connected with the next generation of farm vets and represent vets who have diversified out of practice.

In January 2025, Rose launched the MĂĽller Fast Track program at Kite. This project will play a vital role in MĂĽller's Sustainability Action Plan ambition aiming to reduce on-farm GHG emissions by 30% by 2030. With the increasing adoption of technology on dairy farms, more data is being generated. Fast Track aims to tackle the question of how to best use this data to make science-based decisions that accelerate carbon emission reduction.

Fast Track achieves this by scrutinizing relevant KPIs and facilitating collaboration among a group of 40 innovative and highly efficient dairy farmers. Most British farms currently monitor emissions through annual reporting based on the previous year's data. Fast Track enables participating farmers to access real-time data, providing timely and more frequent monitoring of important KPIs. They can identify data-driven changes and focus on indicators that significantly impact their long-term farm resilience and sustainability.

Rose is excited to be involved with this fantastic group of farmers and looks forward to being part of the project's evolution. She is passionate about the role farmers play in providing safe, sustainable, nutritious food for the ever-growing world population.
