Supporting Carbon Calculation for Danish Veterinary Businesses

Benchmarking Research Project

VetSalus is conducting a brand new benchmarking project, supporting 10 farm or mixed species veterinary practices in Denmark, to calculate their carbon footprint and guide them towards taking action to reduce their impact on the environment. Not only will participating practices receive their carbon footprint, but they will also gain an understanding on how this compares with other similar practices. The closing date for any practices wishing to be involved in this project is 6th October. 

At VetSalus, we understand that finding the time to complete a carbon calculation within a busy veterinary practice setting can feel overwhelming, but with the right support and guidance in place, practices can make positive changes in their business operations. For example, Vestjyske Dyrlæger (West Jutland Veterinarians) utilised the Veterinary Carbon Calculator and implemented a number of initiatives that not only reduced their climate footprint, but also brought significant financial savings and improved staff wellbeing.  Read the summary of their work here.

This project is available to all farm and mixed veterinary businesses in Denmark (no VAT/GST applicable) and benchmarking results will be shared after the project. Background Information

Vet Sustain launched their unique Veterinary Carbon Calculator to the veterinary profession in late 2022. Developed in collaboration with Investors in the Environment (iiE), the calculator is bespoke for veterinary practice use, to help you compute the carbon footprint of your practice. With supporting resources to help you understand which areas of your organisation to focus on, this calculator will enable you to take action to reduce your impact on the environment.
