The course features referenced guides, quizzes, assignments and recommended reads and includes modules such as ‘The Sustainable Practitioner’, ‘Farming Systems of the World’, ‘Efficient Farming’, ‘Agro-ecology, Organic and Regenerative Agriculture’ and ‘Sustainable and Regenerative Business’. Each module features a Module Champion from Vet Sustain’s Food and Farming Working Group, who highlights the ways in which the course content is relevant and can be applied to veterinary work. Participants will join an international community of veterinary professionals and will be invited to attend live online tutorials to consolidate the learning material, address specific questions and prompt discussions.

‘A Veterinary Approach to Sustainable Food and Farming’ was developed by the social enterprise Vet Sustain in partnership with VetSalus. Created by a collaborative team of experienced practitioners, the course launched in July 2022 and has since attracted more than 100 participants from across the globe. The course is accredited by LANTRA, one of the leading awarding bodies for land-based industries in the UK and Republic of Ireland.
