Meet our Experts - Anette Pedersen

Anette Pedersen is part of our network of experts, read on to find out a little more about her work.

Anette Pederson has more than 20 years of experience as a veterinarian and works almost exclusively as an advisory veterinarian in dairy herds at Vendsyssel Landdyrlæger. Her daily work includes all types of veterinary tasks, but primarily focuses on monitoring and optimising herd health in close cooperation with dairy farmers and farm staff.

She has previously worked in mixed veterinary practice and spent eight years as a dairy farmer. Living on a dairy farm and still occasionally working in the barns, she has extensive experience with the everyday life on a dairy farm.

Anette views the sustainability agenda as crucial to the future of the cattle industry. She believes that the cattle industry must deliver concrete, measurable results on climate parameters while also showing positive outcomes in welfare, nature conservation, biodiversity, and local development. By demonstrating results in these areas, the industry has the opportunity to influence the political agenda and achieve a more favourable political opinion for its development.
