Caroline Huetink

I was born and raised on a dairy farm. I am a dairy veterinarian and co owner of a mixed animal practice in Noord-Brabant, the Netherlands. I graduated from Utrecht University in 2002 and have worked as a dairy veterinarian ever since. My daily work consists mainly of herd health advisory on dairy farms. From 2011 through 2015 I was president of the Veterinary Board for Ruminant Health as part of the Royal Dutch Veterinary Association (KNMvD). Since 2016 I am chairman of Kernpraktijken Rundvee (KPR), a cooperation of innovating dairy practices in the Netherlands. In recent years I have done consultancy work for a genetic company in the Netherlands on smart dairy farming. One health has my interest and I am proud to be one of the ambassadors for a (human) network on antimicrobial resistance. I am responsible for human resource in our practice. My mission is to create development in people and I aim to do that with compassion and a good laugh. With my husband, an arable farmer, we have two children and in my spare time I run, hike, work in my vegetable garden, read, cook and spend time with my friends and family.
